David Gow is the Founder and Director of the ELA Institute, dedicated to advancing epilepsy research since his diagnosis in 2022. Education, advocacy, and public policy are the forefront of his focus, founding the Institute with the vision of creating an organization that brings together researchers, healthcare professionals, advocates, policymakers, and community members to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by epilepsy. David graduated with a B.S. from Hobart & William Smith Colleges in 2026.

 

Moving forward, David seeks to serve communities through a virtual-first model while maintaining strong roots in Upstate New York. His vision is to position the ELA Institute as a trusted leader in epilepsy research, education, and advocacy, driving meaningful change through scientific collaboration, informed public policy, and a steadfast commitment to improving quality of life for those affected by epilepsy.
