Arsalan Ansari is a policy researcher and analyst serving as a Director on the Board of ELA Institute, where he contributes to the organization's strategic direction, governance, and public policy analysis work. He holds a B.A. in Government from Cornell University, where he co-founded Applied Public Policy Strategies (APPS), a student-led policy consulting organization. His experience spans technology policy, legal research, democratic governance, strategic communications, and data-driven research, with prior roles at Cornell’s Legal Information Institute (LII), the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, the Center for International Policy (CIP), and the Cornell Center on Democracy, along with earlier work across think tanks, research labs, and public affairs organizations in New York, Washington, DC, and Palo Alto, CA. Arsalan is focused on evidence-based research and intervention, with a particular interest in how organizations can translate knowledge and information into public assets using open-source technologies.

As a Director of ELA Institute, Arsalan advances the Institute’s mission to inform, support, and stand beside individuals and families facing epilepsy, helping to build the governance and policy analysis infrastructure that turns research into better outcomes for patients and families across Western New York and beyond.
