Anthony J. Obara Jr. (b. 1948) is an American sculptor and lifelong student of the natural world. Over the course of his career, he has devoted himself to the study, creation, and preservation of fine animal sculpture, building a body of more than 275 works.
A self-taught sculptor, Obara developed his knowledge and expertise independently, drawing upon the traditions established by the great European animalier sculptors of the 18th and 19th centuries.
